Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-08-22T15:09Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-08-22T15:09:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
DPL: CME exhibits dimpled front
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: A very complex CME with a wider fainter partial halo component (possible shock) and a narrower complex-shaped brighter portion that potentially has several lobes. No corresponding source has been found on the Earth-facing disk. There was an equivalent of an M3 class flare seen by STIX instrument on the Solar Orbiter peaking at 2024-08-22T14:37Z with the very approximate longitude of 180, which could be the far sided possible source of this CME.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

An approximate analysis based on the best possible fit with two coronagraphs. Front-sided longitudes don't produce a fit at all. |
